神帥居供龙王法会

Yearly Naga Offering Puja (供龙王法会) will be held on 22nd Feb 2020 at the western sea of Singapore.

The benefits of this prayer is to improve one’s present wealth, fame, relationship, health, confidence, gaining merits, removing of obstacles and eliminating of sickness. This prayer will also aid all Naga in their path towards Buddhahood, improve their health and giving them merits.

As predicted 2020 is a year of natural disaster and illness. Doing this prayer will  aid you of your health, wealth and to avoid getting involved in natural disaster.

This year a special item(龙王解脱石) will be made available for offering to aid Naga to improve and lead them to the higher realms. Each stone will be $10 and only 50 pieces is available.

– Do not consume any pungent foods (e.g. garlic, onion etc.);
– Do not apply cosmetics, perfumes and fragrances toiletries;
– Do not smoke, and do not consume alcohol;

This is the event for Jan 2020
1)  Protector Event
10th Jan 2020@7-10pm. This event will be an event where we will do some prayers and seek protection from the protectors to make 2020 a better year for all of us and also to . During this event we will have some blessed item for sale and candle offerings to the protectors. Attendees will not have to be here throughout the event.
For those who are unable to attend you may wish to contact me for this candle offering to be done.

Sentient beings/Insentient beings

Sentient beings [有情]— all inhabitants of the three realms of samsara who possess a mind and transmigrate within the six classes of beings. Animate things, such as plants, which do not have a mind, are not ‘sentient’.

Insentient beings [非有情]: Those beings or objects that have no emotions or consciousness, such as trees and stones. The term is contrasted with sentient beings, those forms of life that possess senses, emotions, or consciousness. Buddhism classifies all existences into two categories: sentient and insentient.

So…

Do plants feel pain? Short answer: no.
Plants have no brain or central nervous system, which means they can’t feel anything.
Humans and animals perceive pain through sensory nerve cells. These are the same type of cells that transmit information from our senses, allowing us to smell, see, hear, taste, and touch. These cells are part of what’s called the peripheral nervous system, which includes all the body’s nerves except those in the spinal cord and brain.
Peripheral nerve cells form a network that carries messages from the skin, muscles, and organs to the spinal cord and brain. The brain responds by sending back messages to the pain site that promote the healing process.
So what does all this have to do with plants? Well, biologists know that neural systems like ours and those of other animals (yes, fish included) are one way to process information—but not the only way. Even though plants don’t have nervous systems, they can respond to stimuli. For example, when an aphid attacks a leaf, this sends an electrical signal that goes from leaf to leaf to tell the plant to start protecting itself. But it’s important to note that responding to damage does not mean the plant is in pain.
Unlike us and other animals, plants do not have nociceptors, the specific types of receptors that are programmed to respond to pain. They also, of course, don’t have brains, so they lack the machinery necessary to turn those stimuli into an actual experience. This is why plants are incapable of feeling pain.
But you know who does feel pain? Cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, fish, lobsters, and all the other living, breathing, feeling animals humans eat. That’s right, humans and many other animals—especially mammals and other vertebrates—all developed similar central nervous system features before we went down different evolutionary paths. This means that not only do animals feel pain, but all farmed animals killed for food likely feel it in similar ways as we do.
So lets go Veg!

Medicine Buddha

During this event you can also do light offerings(different types of light offering will be available) and purchase of blessed items.

Anyway 2019 is ending soon and its almost time to be prepared for your 2020.

2020 is coming so what is your 2020 going to be like? Will it be like 2019 full of problems? having emotional issues? or full of illness? Some choose to ignore and hope everything will turn out well while some choose to have a sneak preview of it and find ways to change it for the better. Life is about choices anyway…

Tektite

地藏王菩萨宝诞

地藏王菩萨是八大菩萨之一，也是十方世界一切诸佛如来的长子，其功德广如虚空、深如大海、高如须弥，即使十方诸佛在千万劫当中，连续不断地赞叹宣说，也说不尽这位大菩萨的功德。

永乐轩会在地藏王菩萨宝诞日（29/08/2019）供上108朵莲花。朵朵莲花都会让有缘人发心供养。 一朵莲花一个名，供养者可为父母，家人，朋友，已故亲人，宠物等等。此莲花也可为鬼道/地狱道/畜生道众发心供养。每朵莲花供养$60。

供养地藏王菩萨功德
1）土地丰壤：即，诚心供养地藏王菩萨可以让你土地变得肥沃，风调雨顺，农作物获得丰收;
2）家宅永安：供养地藏王菩萨便获得菩萨的法力加持，俨然成为了一个小小的地藏王菩萨道场，邪魔外道，修罗冤魂自然不能靠近，家宅自然可以永远获得安宁;

8）杜绝噩梦：噩梦是修佛之人前世、今世业力和业障没有消除的必然产物，在晚上阴盛阳衰的情况下，很容易做噩梦。这是我们六亲眷属在地狱遭受痛苦向我们寻求帮助的讯号，这时，如果我们供养地藏王菩萨，那么主管地狱的地藏王菩萨就会用无边法力功德解救他们，我们的噩梦就会完全消失;
9）出入神护：我们一心供养地藏王菩萨，我们就得地藏王菩萨法力保佑，神性之光就会常伴我们左右，一切罪恶的事物都不能对我们造成伤害;
10）多遇圣因：圣因就是好的佛门因缘之意，意思是说，如果我们发尊敬心供养地藏王菩萨，我们的修行之路就会变得顺畅无比，常常会在无意之中获得佛法的开示，佛祖法力的加持，佛门因果的感应。
